Prove facts about yourself to an employer
A Verified Profile lets someone prove facts about themselves to an employer. Each fact is checked by Stodacom staff — not by the person — and every check is permanently recorded.
Three simple steps
Each fact is checked by Stodacom staff — not by the person — and every check is permanently recorded.
The person adds their claims
Their ID, qualifications, work history, address, licence and references, with supporting documents.
Stodacom verifies each one
A trained verifier checks it against the document or the original source and records the method and date.
They share it with you
Through a private link, share code or QR code — showing only what they chose, only while the link is live.
What we check, and how often
Every item is verified against the document or original source, with a permanent audit trail.
Identity
The government ID the person holds — read on our own servers, its machine-readable zone check digits validated — plus a live video or selfie matched to the ID photo. A verifier confirms both. The name on the verified ID is the name shown on shared profiles.
Education
The qualification, institution and dates, confirmed with the institution or its official records.
Employment
Each role, employer and dates, confirmed with the employer or official records.
Address
Where the person lives or has lived, from documents such as utility bills or official records.
Professional Licence
The licence with the body that issued it, including whether it is current.
Reference
Contact with the referee to confirm who they are and their relationship to the person.
Every check gets a permanent audit ID
A trained Stodacom verifier checked the item against evidence or the original source, using the method shown next to it. Each check gets a permanent audit ID (e.g. STV-000123). Records can't be edited afterwards.
For identity, the person records a short live video (or a selfie holding a one-time code). It's matched to their ID photo on our own servers and confirmed by a verifier. That photo is shown on the profile, so you can confirm it's the person in front of you.
What was verified is fixed at that moment. If the person changes the details, the item is checked again before it shows as verified.
Verifications go stale: each item shows a Valid until date, after which it must be re-checked.
Understanding verification statuses
Each item on a profile shows one of these statuses.
Only the live page counts
A printout, PDF, screenshot or forwarded email can be edited. Every shared profile shows a share code (e.g. VP-7K3F-9Q2M-XP) and a QR code. Scan it or enter the code to open the live version; if it doesn't open one, the copy isn't valid.

What it costs, and what stays private
Creating a profile is free — pay only for what you verify. You decide what to share, and you can revoke a link at any time.
Privacy by default
Shared profiles never show ID or licence numbers, dates of birth, street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or referees' names. Documents are processed on Stodacom's own servers.
- The person decides what to share
- Links can be revoked at any time
- The person sees when the profile was viewed
Pay by card or mobile money (UGX, KES, TZS, RWF, GHS, ZMW).
For employers
Checking a profile someone shares is free.
